Image
So! Here we are...one month & a half away from my first race. So much happened within this first week of March. I picked up my Official KTM Bike on the 2nd. 2 March 2023, Valencia, Picking up the bike It was a nostalgic moment as I had a nice trip with Sergio's Father, Jorge, & I actually talked very well in Spanish, speaking about the fact that I was already 27 & I was still chasing this dream of racing. I was telling about how it's my second chance & lasy chance to live my dream, I mean Having a cool job in Tech, racing motorcycle. This is all superb! Sure I have to work double in everything, My job, my sport, my physical training...but this is maintain a professional environment. Very few people understand it & say we are degenerate, kid or selfish people...But When Jorge was telling that we was a hell lot happy to drive young talents to get there bike, see them train, help them. Sure, Every over old man just talks about politics in bars &

Chapter IV: vamos en españa!

2021... Was a year where I trained like 4 times in the year, with my 100% race SV 650... It was not the year I expected having one crash due to someone ramming into me while braking. A lot of pressure from the military as well at that time, I could only make one race in September & I couldn't do anything at all, I was runing a stock bike, and haven't trained at all. I finally ended this year with a horific road crash that almost took my life & saw me broke my qrist very badly... With a year of Disappointment & bad choices because i listened to my friends and not to what I wanted, I decided to put an end to all of this "fake" show... In 2022 I left the army to go to Spain, with one goal...get into professional racing (yeah, I know...at 27 it sounds completly insane right?) But I am a crazy person so that kinda makes up for it. So that's it I guess May 2022, Marseille Airport, France The start of 2022 wasn't that smooth at all. I really

Chapter III: Back at it

As the years passed by, I eventually got back to riding a motorcycle in 2019, while training in the Commando school... "how did I ended up there? that's a whole other adventure & believe me, not that funny". So after a crazy night with some of my best friends, we went to a suzuki dealership because i saw an ad about an SV 650 S, which was sporty but not a 100% so it was exactly what I was looking for. Once there, she was the one...I didn't even tried it or digged into it's history that much and it was just a feeling. My heart kept saying to me, this is the one... April 2019, First pick up, Mérignac, France It was in 2020 that I got myself to taste the joy of being on a racetrack with a first simple trackday at Alès, South of France. It was really good to have that feeling but I wasn't quite sure... So I went back for a second trackday & being the impatient kid that I am... I crashed, highsided in the most tricky corner resulting in broken r

Chapter II: Vive la France!

I went back to France in mid-late 2017, having left everything behind my only goal was to join the military, as a Commando...Paratrooper to be specific. Nothing went according to plan, struggling with my new life alone, far from my family & with only around 600-700€ in my pocket every choices were more than important. Failing the entry test weren't an option! I remember sitting there in the waiting room with other candidates. And this guy came in, he was in charge of recruiting for the French Air Force. So, first thing he asked was who is DE COCK!? So, I stood up and said it was me.  As he noticed that I wanted to be a Commando, that directly had an impact because I was the only one in the room. He made me understand that if I didn't have what it takes. I wouldn't make it.  These four days of selection or not really intense, but complete with some theoretical exams and physical tests plus the medical visits, which is where everything went wrong because of The fact that

Chapter I: The End & The Begining

So how do I start this...well I have no knowledge at all about how I "should" write in my blog, so I am  basically just gonna like...write it down the way I feel it. To recap everything, we are almost christmas and the year is still 2022, but for a short while. I am working as a Network Operation Center operator...in Spain & training in a motorcycle school who trains spanish, european & world class riders...the actual very best. How the hell did I end up in this situation!? That is probably the most craziest & longest explanation I could give to someone though. Well let's give it a try...So I started racing in 2012-2013 in Thailand "because yeah I was born there". I managed to get my dad to agree to get me a Kawasaki Ninja 250...as a first bike & let's say I didn't respect the deal, which was "racing only, no road"  Let's just say that things didn't go according to plan, I was without support except of my ex-girlfriend.
